Bhagavad Gita course

in depth study of India’s foundational text of spiritual wisdom

OVERVIEW

Students will deepen their understanding of spiritual knowledge, learn how to connect spiritual teachings back to the original Vedic texts, and also learn and be encouraged to implement teachings into practical life applications. Elements of the course include:

  • weekly live and interactive online sessions conducted via zoom, recorded for later viewing

  • personal reading and homework assignments in between sessions (for those that like extra study)

  • questions and answers welcome during and in-between live sessions

  • learning of sanskrit verses

  • access to teacher throughout the course for support on your journey

  • study guides, reflection questions and personal assessments to support your learning and encourage deeper contemplation and recollection of spiritual concepts from the texts

I will be teaching the Bhagavad Gita through three separate modules. Each module will cover 6 chapters, thus together covering all 18 chapters of the text. Students can enroll in each module on its own as they are released, regardless of having taken any previous modules, and without having to commit to any subsequent modules. Each module consists of a weekly class which spans the timeframe of 2-4 months, depending on the volume of content for that particular module.

Pricing

  • In the spiritual culture of yoga, teachers share the wisdom of sacred texts as an act of devotion, not for profit. This approach aligns with the Bhakti tradition, where teaching and learning are key forms of expressing Bhakti in daily life and helps keep this sharing of knowledge accessible to everyone. Respecting these educational and cultural principles, I don’t set a fixed price for courses on sacred texts. Instead, I offer myself to you, and in return, students are encouraged to make heartfelt donations based on their financial capabilities.

  • For the Bhagavad Gita modules, there is a suggested donation of $250 per module.

  • Please do not be discouraged from taking the course if you cannot meet the suggested donation price. Please feel welcome to join and give whatever you can within your means.
